Living abroad can be an exciting yet a challenging experience as well. We take this leap into the unknown for various reasons. A mix of feelings are present, some nice, others more difficult to be present with.
I believe that Nature can support us during this experience.
If you are curious about this idea, I invite you to come with an open mind to discover a great opportunity to connect with this new land and find some support for your feet in this adventure that you are undertaking.
If you have been living abroad for a long time or if you are born here, you are also welcome. Maybe you are embracing a new chapter in your life abroad or you just recently moved back, there is definitely a common ground with these experiences as well.
We will walk in the Mollekensberg park in Herent for two hours. We will walk in silence during half of the time. Most importantly, we will embrace nature by doing breathing and mindfulness exercises.
Please wear adequate clothing to be comfortable outside walking in the cold weather. Bring water or tea in a thermos and some snacks if you consider that necessary.
Meeting point: in front of the train station in Herent (Location). We will meet at the small plain in front of the building called De Kouter. You can reach the meeting point by train (5 minutes from Leuven Station), by bus (lines 4, 285 and 284) or by bike from Leuven.
Difficulty: this is an easy walk of approximately 3 km. The walk is a circuit, so we will end up in the same place where we started. Bring comfortable sturdy walking shoes, as we will walk in some muddy terrain and we will walk uphill, as well as in the city.
Price: 15 EUR per participant, 10 EUR for students.
